HIGHLIGHTS
Mr. Peter Van Olinda has been applying computers to the solution of power
system problems since 1962, first with Public Service Electric and Gas, and
since 1981, with Con Edison. He has experience in Electric Planning, Design
and Operations. His real time experience includes both SCADA and on-line
System Security applications in both Bulk Power and Distribution Control
Centers. Highlights include
* Developed, with others, a Secondary Network design power flow
* Developed, with others , Con Edison's Electric Distribution Operation Power Flow
* Implemented a State Estimator in an Energy Control Center.
* Designed, developed and successfully installed the first on line Bulk Electric System security Monitoring (next contingency analysis and emergency relief) in an Energy Control Center.
